Pretty Amazing 'lil Place August 31st 2010 "I went to Nancy O's for dinner, drinks, and a live blues show a few days ago. Now granted, with that sort of night with friends it's hard to not have a blast no matter where you are . . . but Nancy O's went above and beyond to ensure our party had a blast. The food was fresh and delicious (we shared 8 appies btwn 5 of us- only had to pay for 6!!), the service was fast, the drink selection was superb, and the atmosphere was something that I've only experienced in Halifax, Montreal, or Europe. If you like small restaurants with a good buzz I highly recommend this place." Best Burger August 26th 2010 "Wednesday evenings are Burger and Pilsner nights - burger and pilsner for $11. I had the basic burger and a house salad (instead of fries) and I'd have to say it's the best burger AND the best side salad I've had in a good long time. Live entertainment aside, the food here is really good. And I join others applauding the lack of TVs at Nancy O's." Top O' the Morning to You! July 5th 2010 "Been to this restaurant several times alone & with groups and will go back again and again. So great to have a place "downtown", that serves great food, good portions and reasonably priced & great staff. Would recommend & have to many & anyone we have spoken too, also loves this place. There are so few business places now in the downtown area...get out there, do a wee bit of shopping, then go & enjoy putting good flavours on your palate at Nancy O's. Just maybe venturing & contributing to the downtown core, rather than big box stores will bring back what PG was when we first visited here in the late 90's!!" Where Else Anymore do You See the Owner Greeting You at the Door? May 3rd 2010 "I had the pleasure of performing in this restaurant, I was the musical entertainment. From the moment we walked in and said our hellos, I knew this place was not like the rest. Everyone was so accommodating and not to just to us - I was once a server in an establishment much the same and so I pay attention and I know what good service is - but to everyone who was there. The food was delicious and creative. If you're going to do something, you might as well do it right! and the folks at Nancy O's certainly do just that. The fact that they offer musical entertainment and are excited to host is the most incredible bonus. Thank you. I will definitely be back." Nancy O's is New Southern Inspired Luncheon *Now Dinner Too* Spot Downtown February 21st 2010 "It just opened, its lunch here which was 11$ including tax and coffee was the best tasting and prepared lunch I have had since I moved to PG bar none. A steak sandwich w/t provolone and crispy onions and soup of tomato and beef that was every much as good as the sandwich. The quality of this experience took me by surprise and I actually swore out load to my lunch partner, it is going to be a popular spot I can already tell. Word spread to the proprietor about my blog and he actually was fully open and spoke about the stage and process he is pursuing and invited me back for more pictures. Great staff friendly great value and amazing venue. Rated 10/10 since they now have a liquor license and live music on a regular basis. This place is as good as PG gets." Familiar, Easygoing, and Classy February 7th 2010 "A great place to be! The atmosphere is mellow and the owners are really friendly. It's great to see places like this in Prince George. Nancy O's gets lots of great entertainment. I really enjoyed the live music they had over Coldsnap and I've seen some great comedians there! Nancy O's is a place for everyone in PG to come and get to know each other! Check it out if you want delicious food and great company." Great Atmosphere at Nancy O's January 17th 2010 "Apparently the story with Nancy O's is two young local Irish guys opened it up. They were sick of the sports bar pubs and decided to open up a restaurant/pub with some character. In the heart of downtown pg. Great food, great staff. Had a good time the few times I've been. They support the community, and trying to make downtown a better place to visit. Check it out, you won't be disappointed." Cool New Place to Go January 9th 2010 "I've visited nancy o's a few times since the opened in October....a couple times for lunch, once to a comedy show and once for dinner. Its really nice to have somewhere to go in PG that you can have a few drinks and socialize, that's not a typical pg pub atmosphere with a bunch of tv's everywhere. The service is always friendly....the only thing I would say is for them to have a few more entree items on there dinner menu. The owner said they are still new and are still changing things. Fun times, good value." Stellar Food, Charming Character, in the Heart of PG January 7th 2010 "Finally, what downtown PG needs! Fun place to hang out or have a meal/drink in warm cozy atmosphere. affordable. I went to the live comedy night and saw The Arbitrary's there, all live entertainment was well worth going to. Will definitely be a regular spot for me." Ambience, Good Times & Delicious Food January 7th 2010 "Unparalleled service combined with a great food, in this chill atmosphere makes it a great spot for a quick lunch! Check out the night scene for a bite and drinks, you can often find lots of interesting people here on any Thursday to Saturday Evenings! I will definitely be frequenting this Restaurant....." Must Check it Out for Yourself January 7th 2010 "This little restaurant has the best atmosphere in town. We were in on a Thursday night and although there were only 15-20 people in the whole restaurant it seemed very lively and fun! We went to Nancy O's for a few drinks but ended up having a few appies under their "4 for 3" deal. The food is EXCELLENT!" |
